Endoscopy

Hi I had an Endoscopy the other day and they found inflammation in my stomach at bottom right hand side. The doctor who didn’t think it was Crohn’s, but I think it is. It would make sense. I had a colonoscopy at the same time and my bowl was in remission. I have telling them for ages that I have upper back pain and have had for a long time and sometimes pain in my gullet and sometimes really bad indegestion. I have changed my diet dramatically, gone gluten free, lactose free and reduced my alcohol intake to a minimum and still was getting symptoms. My joints ache all the time and I struggle sometimes to climb the stairs. I feel like 90 year old lady and I’m only 56. Can anyone tell me is possible to be clear in the bowl and not in the stomach. When I was first diagnosed they did a full body scan and they said it was nowhere else, but I believe it was.

Hi Kathy6, did the doctor tell you why he didn't think it was Crohn's inflammation in your stomach? It sounds highly probable to me, as I know Crohn's can migrate from one place to another with clear patches in between. When I first started with Crohn's many moons ago they couldn't find any evidence of it from the many and varied tests they did of my insides, but it was there in my mouth from the beginning and that's where the biopsy I had proved it. Later after going on steroids, the active Crohn's in mouth went into remission, but it then flared up in my small bowel. I was also told some years ago there was evidence of it in my duodenum.

Thank you. Yes I think it is too. The symptoms all tie up. I have to wait for my results of biopsy, but in meantime I’m taking omoprisol.
