Suncream query

Does anyone get suncream on prescription? I have to wear factor 50+ all the time because I'm on Mercaptopurine and I wondered if anyone gets it on prescription as it's very expensive and I have a pre-pay certificate anyway so could save myself some money.

Thanks

Is it a sticky one? Or does it absorb in well?

NHS have recently issued a list of items that will no longer be prescribed because they are cheaper to buy over the counter. I'm pretty sure sun cream was on the list! The info was on the noticeboard in my surgery.

yes, I've heard of this happening, I suppose the best thing for me to do will be to ask my own GP Surgery of their policy, thank you
