Any advice?

Hi there,

For the last year I have been having tests done to try and figure out what is wrong with me. I have on and off rectal bleeding, significant weight loss, nausea, dry retching, stomach and abdominal pain, painful joints, weak muscles and extreme tiredness (as well as refuse sweating, night sweats, and very sensitive to cold where I spend days freezing the pouring with sweat at night). Of course these are probably not all related (however if anyone has any insight then any help is useful!), however my main concern right now is the rectal bleeding as it is the one thing that no one can seem to help with.

I have had a flexible sigd, and also a full colonoscopy where bioposy's were taken, all these tests came back normal. I have also had stool samples taken and CRP blood levels taken that were all normal. However the bleeding still continues, I had all the tests done while I was bleeding and nothing was seen. I am at a total loss as to what could be going on and with everything symptom wise I have at the moment I am in bed most of the time too tired and in too much pain to do anything. Has anyone else experienced this too? Or has anyone got any suggestions?

Hope you are all well

Sorry to hear about your experience. I hope you have medical coverage that will enable you to see a new medical specialist, perhaps one affiliated with a teaching hospital.

I have Diverticulitis, I get frequent attacks ,have you been tested for it? As most of your symptoms are the same as I go through whilst having an attack !

Hi Sorry to here you have these symptoms. I was diagnosed with Crohns and I erectile bleeding and a lot of the symptoms you have mentioned. Do have bad mouth ulcers and loose stools, I would go to the toilet over 5 times every morning, that is how mine started over 2 to 3 years ago, I couldn't work out what was wrong with me. I had a colonoscopy at that time but nothing showed up, bar mild inflammation. So nothing was followed up on it, but gradually my ulcers got worse and the fatigue and muscle pain started. If it is Crohns, it could be in the small bowl, or you are at the early stages. When I had my recent tests I had ulceration in the anus and 2 sides at the bottom of the lower bowl, but luckily I don't get a massive amount of pain, but my ulcers in my mouth are terribly painful, sometimes up to 10 at a time. You have to keep pestering the doctors, they told me it was stress but I knew it wasn't.
