Think this was my best run yet... W7R3

YAY! A good run! Finally!!!

After an awful week of running and feeling lethargic on all my 25 minute runs, I really needed a morale booster. Not only did I feel great at the end of the run (ok tired and sweaty, but not about to throw up, so in my mind that's brilliant), but I also managed to cover 2.5 miles in 25 mins, which means I was running at a 10 min mile rate, so I should be able to cover 5k in week 9! So happy right now you guys! I know you guys say not to focus on distance etc, but if I did well then why not?

I have W8R1 tonight and I am absolutely hyped! If you have been reading my blogs for a while, you may remember me saying I got my mum and dad out running as well, well now I have my sister out with me! Now this programme has changed my whole family's life aha! Crazy!

Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped throughout the last 7 weeks, but especially everyone on my last blog, as that was probably my lowest I ever felt throughout the whole time, so really grateful for your advice and support. You guys know hwo you are, so thank you <3

Happy running everyone!

~ Olivia

Thank you! Seeing as your grad, can I ask a question? Did you find 28mins a big step up from 25 mins? Be honest please! Thank you though!

No, it was fine. I just kept thinking, you can do 25 minutes so 3 more minutes is do-able. Just make sure you go slow at the beginning and save some in the tank for the end. I'd rather sprint the last minute - then you know you can go a bit further (albeit slower) when required!

I was also very keen to get the 30m/5km ratio... managed it in the first week after graduation.

The whole family? Wow! :-) Nice to hear you sound so positive, too. Enjoy your run.

I know I can barely believe it myself to be honest! Thank you, I will try, can't believe you are nearly a grad! Enjoy your last run in the plan! In a kinda weird way, I feel really proud of you :)

Aha only 2 weeks to go! What are your plans for after C25K then?

I've got a hill to "kill", plus 5x50. I'll probably play around with my own music and consolidate on the 30 mins. :-)

And you? You're responsible for the whole family's fitness!

Well done and congratulations. It's good to hear run 3 was better - I feel like runs 1 & 2 have been running through treacle. Good luck with weeks 8 & 9 :)

I pulled out all the stops for my W7R3 tonight and loved it. Sun was shining, dog behaved himself and the hubby came out and cycled along as I ran. I am just at 11minute miles so won't be making the 30mins. My goal is 35. Good luck for week 8
