Settling back into it...

..after two weeks holidays away from running (did try) I have gone back to W6R2 to settle back into it. Even after graduating the break means I have found it harder 2nd time around.

The plus point is that I not only had a fab holiday I was able to enjoy it more because I was fitter than I had been due to running ... so it is worth it and worth getting back into it...

so W6R3 next :)

Well done!! The first run back after a break is always a toughie, but you should fine the next one significantly easier - 2 weeks isn't a massive break, and shouldn't really be enough to put too big a dent in your fitness.

Enjoy getting stuck back in! :-)

Nice to hear you're back with our Laura but sympathies for having to put up with that music all over again :O

Now hurry up and get evading the zombies with me!

Just the confidence I think .. if you have never run 30 minutes in your life and then run it, when you have had a break you think it is a fluke :)

Khrissy are the Zombies the same plan or is it 5K plus? ...and does it have music or zombie noises? It might help me to get my teen daughter running:)

They are in the app store, there is the basic Zombies Run! that you can set for 30 mins or 1 hour and there is also a C25K type one for beginners. It uses your own music so I've compiled a playlist of songs with the right beat for me and then it intersperses the tracks with a bit of a story and you collect things as you go along which you give to the settlement when you get back and this unlocks new runs and stories. I like it because it just distracts the gremlins that still try and tell me I'm not a runner!

that sounds fantastic... will have a look ... need to work out what would be a good beat to run to ... probably not what I listen too :)
