"Should I or shouldn't I?" - I didn't. :-(

Reluctantly decided not to push it yesterday, as my chest was getting 'chestier' and less clear throughout the afternoon. :-(

I'm getting more impatient than ever to get back out there now, as apart from my 20 minute-foray on Sunday night, I haven't run properly for over a week.

And the frustrating thing is that I won't be able to go again now until Thursday. I'm tied up tonight and tomorrow night with other things (Brass Band rehearsals for a concert - another reason I thought I should give my lungs a bit more recovery time last night, especially given the cold weather.) I'm really missing the running. and May's 10K race is getting closer and closer making my prep time tighter and tighter. :-( :-(

When oh WHEN are we actually going to get some Spring so we can all stop being put off our stride with snow, icy pavements, bitterly cold winds and flu?? :-( :-( :-(

:-( :-( Sad to read you couldn't run after all...but you made the right decision. Better to allow more days to try and recover then to become more ill. We had a few days of shorts weather here, now we have snow predicted for the next few days! I am so ready for Spring! I hope you feel better soon and can get back to training. :-) Gayle

Thanks, Gayle! :-)

Nice smily encouraging good sensible advice from you as always :-D

Hope the snow doesn't spoil things too much for you...

Best not to run if you're feeling "chesty" - it's frustrating but a few days of pampering yourself until you feel better will work wonders. Often, an enforced rest can be beneficial and May is far enough away that you don't need to panic.

Hope you feel better soon and that the weather picks up :-)
