Awful bloody awful!!! I just can't do twenty five mins, and I know it is my mind more than it is my body, but the mind is in charge at the moment..... I've given myself full permission to take as much time as I need, but I am also wondering if anyone has any handy tips for this run ... I am taking it slow.... There are things against me in the day, it is very very hot where I am, though I am running in air con, it really is super not generally, this means I am eating less. Oh yeah and I haven't even lost 1 pound of weight! Though I have toned up a bit... Anyway I whinge.... All advice gratefully received .... Thanks x

I don't think I can help as my advice would be to get outdoors for the interest and variety - not really an option if you are somewhere very hot :( Can you make a new playlist instead of the podcast that changes bands every 5 minutes and tell yourself each time that you only have to keep going till the band changes? After all you can easily run 5 minutes - all you have to do is repeat it a few times - might help. It really is all in the mind. Did you ever see the Eddy Izzard marathon programme?

I hated week 7 too - see my old blogs -- but by week 8 I was back in my mental stride and graduated with ease. Don't give up! You can do it! Good luck and keep on running!

If you are somewhere hot could you go out early or late? I am on week 7 and what helps is saying.. I have to get to the farm shop... Then I am halfway, turn back, final hill then I see the church and say I'm nearly home. Mentally that has helped as I am absolutely exhausted but so determined to make it!! I have heard others say a different playlist?? Or could you aim for 20 mins and increase by 2 mins a week? I haven't a clue if that's good advice it just seems logical!! I think u can do it and wow look how far you've come!! Well done and good luck, julia x

You've already made the biggest leap when you did 20 minutes so just aim at doing that and then just think to yourself it's just 5 more minutes. You can do it I'm sure :)
