Running partners

Does anyone have any ideas of how to find a running partner? I have my dog, but would like to find a human!!

No idea, its a bit lonely isn't it. For the first time I saw another one last week, I smiled at him but he grimaced at me, although I think that was more due to my head torch dazzlng him!! I am in cleeve, north somerset if you are in the area I'd love a companion??? X

Hi juicyju! Now I've graduated it's a bit harder to stay motivated, so I thought finding a running partner might help. Will look on Run England website as doggymum has suggested. I'll look up where you live, maybe we can meet up one day. I live near Taunton.

Good luck with the rest of c25k, I see you are on week 6. You really are nearly there, just keep going and you'll have the green badge before you know it!

Have you tried the 'in my area' tab when you go to your profile page? You might find another C25K member near you

Or have a look at the Run England website, it should list groups near you if you fancy something like that and if you are on Facebook you could try searching for running clubs in your area to get to know people through.

I found the Run England site helpful and went along to some beginners sessions just to get to know people and try and meet someone at my very slow pace!

Have you tried asking on here if anyone is in your area? You never know

I just grabbed a friend! I told a few people what I was doing and a couple of them were interested so I suggested we went together. We ended up completing the plan last year and we are now starting it again. She didn't come with me every time I went but at least I had company for a few runs. Also talking to my neighbour one day I discovered she also ran on her treadmill. After chatting for a while she also came on a couple of runs with me.

Just word of mouth and chatting to people. It's surprising how many joggers are out there!
