Yippee got the go ahead to get back to running from my Physio today.

I've not run for nearly 3 weeks now and I'm desperate to get back out there. Had another session with my Physio this morning and she has given me the go ahead for gentle recovery runs next week. Plans for a longer run a week on Sunday so long as 2 short slow runs go OK, then a final visit back to her a week on Monday. Fingers crossed that this all goes according to the plan.

I have to say its been money well spent and won't hesitate in going back again if I ever need to. Doctor had said I would have to wait about 6-8 weeks to see an NHS Physio that would have been the end of my running if I'd had to wait that long, its so hard to get back your strength and stamina as you get older. Wish me luck, first run will be Sunday as I'm doing a duty at Parkrun in the morning. :) Have a lovely Easter weekend everyone.

Good news, Oldgirl.

I agree about paying to see a Sports Physio is money well spent. OK, I've spent a fair bit more money than I would have liked, but each session is less than the cost of a meal out for two. And I'm happy to stay home and cook and get my legs working!! ;-)
