Heart scare over, getting back to running... Yippee!

I found out I had a heart murmur 2 weeks after graduating in March so had given up running until I knew what was going on. All is well. I'm so (X100!) happy I can start again. I think I'll do the c25k plan from the beginning but this time be extra thankful that I'm healthy & able to get out again. I hope this will help me get out of my warm bed for pre-breakfast runs but I'm not counting on that lasting the full 9 weeks! I had to not visit this forum because I was really upset with not feeling able to run. It's nice to see familiar people still around. Anyway, that's a rather rambling way of saying, good to be back. Wk1, run 1 at 6.30 tomorrow. 😃

What a lovely post! Glad you got the all clear and your enthusiasm just shines through. Bet last year you didn't think you'd look forward to running at 6:30 am👍🏃

Thanks JaySeeSkinny. To be honest I don't think I'd have expected to look forward to anything before 7am of a morning! 😊

So glad you have been passed as fit to run. I was diagnosed with a heart murmur years ago, after having pleurisy, but it luckily has no effect on my general health. It's always best to have these things checked out, and I know how relieved you will be feeling. Enjoy your early runs.

Good to hear it hasn't caused you any health problems. That's nice to hear. Thanks. 😊

Thanks Mcfitty. It's definitely easier to get out of bed when it's not still dark outside. I also feel safer going for an evening run so no excuses. :-)
