I noticed the runs become chunked again in week 6 after doing the 20 minute run at the end of week 5, just wondering what peoples perspectives were on this?
Does the step up between W6R2 and W6R3 feel as... - Couch to 5K
Does the step up between W6R2 and W6R3 feel as much as the step up between W5R2 and W5R3?
I think week 5 run 3 for me was a real milestone all the longer runs after that, although hard, seemed like less of a challenge than week 5 r3. Having said that I did have a couple of aborted runs in week weeks 7 and 8.
Week 5 r3 is defiantly mentally a break through, and can be used to convince yourself that this is do able!
i found runs 1 and 2 of week 6 quite hard, almost worse than week 5 run 3. Running for 25 minutes does feel like a long time and week 6 run 3 was only the 2nd time in my life I'd run for 20 mins so the jump to 25 was still a challenge. I did week 7 run 2 this morning and I guess I'm getting a little more used to running that long...still hard though
I have to agree with the above. The 20 minute run was definitely a milestone and very emotional, and after doing that runs 1 and 2 of weeks 6 did seem harder. I think once you find your pace it is easier to stick with it than stopping and starting. The 3rd run in week 6 (which I just did) didn't seem anywhere near the jump of week5 run3. Personally I'm glad there are no more interval run. (I think) lol
The worst one for me was actually w4. Getting from w5 to w6 was far easier than I thought it would be.
