Walking then...

Oh well thought I'd be back today but after walking 3 miles my leg is still tender and my hip is a bit sore. Will keep this up till I can run again, because if I stop walking it will be so much harder when I do start back. Lucky I like walking but miss running so much :(

you'll be back in no time. when your body says you can. any sooner and you'll do yourself a right mischief.

turn that ;-( in to a ;-) and be positive.

weird how we miss running isn't it when before we started there was no way we would run in a million gazzilon years!!

Yes I wouldn't have thought I'd be upset that I couldn't run round a park.

It's good you're keeping posting - you will be back running soon, and you'll be so glad you waited until your leg was really ready. Chin up lass! :)

Yes, keep posting, Susie! We all sympathise with you, you know that, and at least you are keeping the walking up so you shouldn't lose any fitness. Don't despair, you'll be running again, and if it's any consolation you're doing the right thing by giving your hip time to rest and recover. Just think how shouty we'd all be if you told us you were going to take a chance and run on it :)

Thanks Anniemurph, it's been said so many times but I wont ever tire of the support on this forum, it's like having your best friend behind you all the way encouraging and advising.

Thanks again, have lost more weight so that's a positive!
