Returning after injury

This is in the same vein as others but advice (reassurance!) be good - had reached W9r3 then injured my knee doing something else. As a result have done nothing in the last four weeks. Should I just have a go at final run and hopefully surprise myself or go back a few weeks and build up again?

I think if you've just injured your knee, then build back up - better to be safe rather than sorry. Maybe go back to doing a Week 5/6 run and see how you feel?

Maybe just go out and see how you get on - taking perhaps a slower pace than you were doing before? If that goes well, you'll feel more confident to up it a bit next time.

My knee was a bit achey after a (relatively) fast walking session (daft, yes!) so I went out today thinking I'd aim for 30 min run but see how it went. It started aching a bit after 22 minutes, so I walked from then on and it was fine.

I would just go out and see how you do. You may surprise yourself in the fitness you maintained. As far as the knee, don't push too hard and risk injury. I injured my knee in my 9th week and I still wear a support when I run. Good luck to you and Murphy!! ;-) Your going to ace this!!! Gayle
