Can anyone help me with the Couch to 5k playli... - Couch to 5K
Can anyone help me with the Couch to 5k playlists. Love most of the music, but don't know titles, artists... Anyone have a playlist?
Are your ears painted on?
I actually enjoyed most of the tracks earlier in the course, but found they got steadily worse as the weeks went on (or maybe the longer runs affected my mood!). I especially NEVER want to hear about You and bleedin' Julie again!!!
I'm pretty sure people have looked into this before and they are not commercially available and cannot be downloaded anywhere, other than with the lovely Laura in the background.
Now off to clean the yoghurt off my ipad, after reading Fingalo's comment whilst eating...
Sorry Molly; I really cant help as I dont find the music at all inspiring; it was just there to get me through the interval runs. I have a feeling this question has been asked before though so someone may be able to help.
S
Sorry guys....
To Molly, I'm pretty sure Wepre is right and they're not commercially available.
Go figure....
They're produced by 'Audiofuel,' and to add insult to injury I keep hearing odd snatches on the most random programmes on TV, heard one on 'Coast' the other day! No 'You and Julie yet,' though.
Ha! although it gets very confusing when I hear one of the warm up songs on the telly and I almost get up to go for a run.
Thank you everyone for your great replies. Sad to say that I genuinely did like the music from the first few weeks!....ah well...each to their own! Thanks for saving me more time searching for the music, now that I know it's not commercially available. Bye all.
For Fingalo, I'm just off to paint my ears before tea.
Well I like some of them Molly10, so I'm off to varnish my ears then!
This has been one of the funniest reads for a long time! I keep creasing up again! Probably need to repaint my ears too - I thought the music was ok mostly, to be honest, but then I don't listen to music much - and have only listened to music for one or two of my last half dozen runs. I prefer countryside and birds.
I wasn't impressed with 'You and Julie' though - couldn't see what the fuss was about at all!
Have I missed 'you and Julie' or is it a long one that you need a 30 minute run for?!!
So sorry Molly!! You must think we are all taking the p**s! We really dont mean to and are a lovely bunch of encouraging people really but the subject of the music always causes a good laugh on here and brings lots of opinions.... TBH it was always just background music to me. Best of luck with the program and let us all know how you are getting on.
I'll confess that I liked quite a few of the songs right up to about week 6-ish. When they get more instrumental and less vocal I found them less interesting, but the beautiful day one was great to start me off, and the long-distance thing kept me going for a bit...
No offence meant if any was taken, as has been said, the music has been a running joke (see what I did there?) on this site for some time. As Molly says, each to their own.
I did a couple of runs to my own tunes earlier in the programme and I'm sure the names I mentioned in my blog would have had some folk reaching for the ear defenders too.
No offence taken at all Fingalo! I have enjoyed meeting you all, and realising I am not alone with my Couch efforts - just finishing W5, although it has taken me many more weeks than that to reach it. Am now intrigued about Julie, so am motivated to get to W6 to find out!
Hope the varnish is dry Runningwild, take care with those earphones if it isn't!
Do you know what I find most worrying - is that once I'd heard them often enough I did begin to like some of the tracks. I think that's because I had to repeat some runs I found really hard so it became a battle of wills between my legs and getting to the end of some bits of music. Coast isn't the only one that's been using them - heard one on Masterchef too - really confusing!
I know i've got to wean myself off the 5k+ ones soon - but i might have to dub across Laura's voice onto some of my own tracks to stop me slacking.
but i'm with you on Julie ... hey maybe this is what happens to some of the songs that don't make Eurovision
Hilarious thread- yoghurt on iPads and painted ears! I struggle with the music choice and I have recently split with my partner whose ex wife was called Laura..... I will not give in...... I will not give in.... Ha ha ....... I am on. Week 6 and started to worry if I will be able to run without her talking to me though lol! If we can't download the songs ( if we wanted too- are there any recommended playlists out there) I am a bit of a technophob! Thank you, I love the support you guys offer
I did W1R2 first thing this morning and have had 'Greatest Day' stuck in my head for the entire day!!
Strange most of the songs get me thru the tough bits and they're the kind of songs I would never give the time of day to usually.
I agree - the music really isn't my kind of thing at all, but as I've gone through the programme it's really grown on me. I love the oh-so-appropriate bit of lyrics that keep making me smile, and as I never listen to this kind of music at all except when I'm running, it now sounds like 'running music' to me. When it starts up it really gets me going and makes me look forward to getting stuck in
