found that in 30 minutes I wasn't reaching the 5k mark. It took me 39 minutes to make it to 5k and I had enough stamina to make it. I am now going to work on picking up my speed to get to 5k in 30 minutes. To list some of the amazing benefits of finishing: 1. As a 48 year old, i don't feel like i'm on the scrap heap just yet - 2. 17 lbs lost - 3. met some nice people along the way in my quest for running shoes, advice on clothing etc, injury dramas - 4. This Forum is wonderful. Thank you everyone for your wonderful support. You are all amazing!!! love Dog Trotter!
