Mist

I ran today after walking my son up to school - downside, at the school gate in my scuzzy running kit facing the mums, barely awake. But wow, once I got going it was like running through Middle Earth, perfect blue sky, snow on the faraway mountains, mist filling the valley so it looked as tho' my village was sitting over a huge lake. Running has really made me reconnect with how gorgeous the landscape is here (the west of Scotland).

When I got home I discovered my kids had left the taps running so there was no hot water left. Wondered about a cold shower for about three seconds then decided to smell til lunchtime. The advantage of working from home.

I graduated in January and am now working my way up to 10 k g...r...a...d...u....a...l...l...y. Can't believe running still feels so tough, even when I'm out three times a week, but loving it too.

Got so much support and comfort from reading everyone else's posts. Thank you!

"decided to smell til lunchtime" :D Sounds like a wise decision, rather than a cold shower!

Loved the description of where you were running, it sounds truly beautiful. :)

Sounds just magic, i love the west coast it's stunning scenery. You sound as if you are really enjoying your running, great stuff and well done but you forgot to get your graduate badge. Send admin a message and it will appear.

I haven't dared turn up to school in the running gear yet... Took me weeks to admit to any one I was going "running"! Well done

funny "coming out" as a runner isn't it? I was outed by a very gossipy nieghbour but it was about week seven of the programme before I told anyone myself
