I only discovered this site last week but started C25k before Christmas. I am so proud of myself for completing W5R3 - yes the dreaded 20mins, especially as I have had a week off due to a very nasty chesty cough! I don't think I'd have done it without the encouragement from every one on here! It was reading your posts that convinced me you don't lose fitness over a short period of time and therefore that I could do the 20mins without repeating runs 1 and 2 which would have been quite disheartening.

I don't think I have ever run for a full 20 mins in my life. Fair enough it was on a treadmill but at least it doesn't allow you to slacken. Hope to make the great outdoors once the evenings/mornings get lighter!

Well done Mags :-)

Weather permitting hubby and I will be doing W5R3 tomorrow. I'm still a bit worried about the 20 minutes in one hit, like you I don't think I've ever done that before, but everyone on the site is very encouraging so ....

We went out in the snowy/icy conditions yesterday, but were early enough to run on the road for much of it. Hope the weather forecast is wrong, we are due more snow :-(

Congratulations and welcome, Maggiesax! And Bibs - good luck with it - hope the weather doesn't cause too much trouble for you.

Congratulations from a fellow treadmill pounder! I have week 5 to start next week so the 20 mins is looming,

I also cannot wait for spring to arrive to run outside too, congrats again.

Congratulations! It is such a milestone that 20 minute run... It's also when I wrote my first blog, there must be something psychological there :-)

Best of luck with week 6!
