Can't believe how brave you all are to go out running in the snow... you are serious runners
No snow here luckily so I finished week 7 this morning, very happy but know it's just going to get harder so slightly dreading week 8. I decided to change route today and found it really hard going! I'd gotten used to the previous route and knew exactly what to expect but this new route was a bit up and down. I don't want to say hilly because that would be a huge exageration but it wasn't as flat as I would have liked
Anyway will see what week 8 has in store soon.
Hope the snow/ice clears up soon!

I feel a right cheat - I've wimped out with the snow, and mostly done walks instead for the last few days (though I have been out for an hour or so each day). I did make a snow angel today -does that count? (And had great difficulty getting up again, as I was trying to not spoil the pattern - hubby thought it was very funny.)
Haha, years since I made a snow angel. It sounds like you're having fun in the snow anyway! You'll be back running in no time. Enjoy the snow while it lasts!
Snow has fecked me too, not because of the cold but because I don't trust it underfoot.
I was out for hours today, strolling with Mrs Fingalo in the park and along the beach and saw many runners who appeared quite sure footed, yet I was never the same even though I was only walking.
That said, I think I'll be driven to try if the thaw doesn't kick in soon, it's annoying the feck out of me.
You're not alone - I"m not running in this snow (or rather ice) either. I made a rule that I wouldn't do sub-zero temps either. It's a bit annoying as I was just about back to pre-cough (early December) fitness but I'd be a lot more annoyed if I ended up with a broken ankle. I figure that I'm not training for any particular event so a week or two off will be possible to catch up. However - I'm still making myself "feel" like a runner by lurking here and buying new gear in the Sweatshop sale etc. Have to get motivated to return as soon as it's safe underfoot!
No, same here, there's no way I would go out running in the snow. I was down in London for the weekend with a c25k friend and we had been determined to run in Hyde Park, but we decided not to because we were both worried about slipping. There were loads and loads of runners in the park though, all credit to them! No, the roads will still be out there, and if I don't run for a week or so I will get back to it again as soon as I can. Stay safe
I'm jealous of all those able to run in the snow. We haven't got any here, despite being further north than most of the other UK forum members!
I have been running in sub-zero temperatures though, and trying to avoid the ice on the roads. Today's run was a short, sharp intervals session around and about the village.
