On the 'mill.

I have so far managed to do 99% of my running outdoors but the icy conditions of late have forced me on the treadmill! I get bored very quickly but managed to increase my running time to 35 minutes but that's all I could really stand before losing concentration.

Any tips?

Hi Walney, I run outdoors mostly too but with the snow forecast looks like I'll be making use of my gym membership in the coming days. I find listening to the radio on my phone helps with the monotony of the treadmill. Choose a station with a mixture of chat, music and news. Alternatively run at a time where there's something you like of tv and distract yourself with that. If I come up with any other ideas I'll let you know. Good luck

You found a gym where you get the choice about music?

I thought it was just one of those things you have to endure that they have some popular radio station on.....and not exactly as background either!!!

Totally fries my brain to have it on though I accept others like background but do wish it WAS background and not in your face loud.

This is my experience as well. usually some dodgy music channel and I ahve to crank up my mp3 player to drown it out! Let's hope the weather improves soon.
