during my run this morning i had to drink more than normal coz my throat kept drying out.

But i dont like to run and carry a bottle whether its in my hand or on my hip, so are there any tips or tricks i could use to avoid my mouth drying out during this winter weather??

A couple of jelly babies or something similar works for me sometimes. I like them on longer runs and are dead easy to carry :-D

I hate having a bottle as well!

When you are working hard and breathing through the mouth my mouth always gets dry.

Nose breathe if you can for a little while. It seems to helps me.

i tend to just suffer it for the half hour as I'm with you guys, I hate the idea of carrying a bottle.

Chewing gum works for me - helps keep my breathing steady as well, but I know some people have a tendency to choke on it...

I'm a bit unsure of the chewing gum just incase I inhale it and choke. I do sometimes carry a Polo mint though.

I run with a running bottle which fits nicely in the hand with a drop of peppermint oil in works a treat

I've got this. Works a treat but maybe not for everyone and a tad bit expensive for what it is.
