Wk 6 run 1... lead legs and a full bladder...

Was so chuffed about finishing wk 5 I thought this run was going to be a walk in the park with just 5, 8 and 5 mins of running, how wrong can you be?! My legs felt like lead which must have been a consequence of the 20 min run a couple of days before and about half way through I started to need a wee... any mums out there will know how hard it is to run and hold it in :-)

So all in all a very, very tough time was had, I did complete it but didn't enjoy it AT ALL! Hopefully tomorrow's second run will be better...

Hi madriz ah we have all been there. Being a bloke its probably

easier to resolve but i know what you mean. Ed x

Yes I wish I sometimes I were a bloke! The mistake was to drink the glass of water that Laura recommends before a run to avoid a stitch, I prefer a stitch :-)

I wouldnt drink before a run. Keep yourself hydrated normally but have a drink when you get back. Nah you dont want to be a bloke!

I've read several blogs about wk 6 run 1 (I'm about to start week 5) and they all seem to say the stop-start one is harder than the 20. Weird! But maybe it is just recovery... I've not been taking 2 day breaks between the weeks up until now, but I think I might after that long one.

Anyway, you did it - that's the important bit! And yes, I can imagine the bladder pressure bit didn't help one little bit! It's just not quite the same after having children is it?!

Yes in hindsight I wish I'd taken 2 days off before starting week 6... Best of luck with week 5!
