Well I did it! Just completed week 1, first run. Oh my god cannot see myself getting to 5k at all! I have no previous running experience.

I have got around 5 and half stone to loose, but I did manage to run the whole way, whenever Laura asked me to!

Legs are now seriously aching!

Next jog Thursday' can't wait! ??

Hi Iwill, welcome to C25K, i am afraid its not easy especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. If you stick with it you should be ok. Please take your time though, it takes the body months to adapt. Its ok if you need to repeat runs or even weeks, some people takes months to complete the programme. Enjoy, Ed x

Do you think I should do more than 1 week on week 1 then?

Thanks

If you feel that you struggled with R1 then yes feel free. Its your body and you need to listen to it, R2 and 3 are the same so you will be doing the same runs again anyway. Its really important to take your time. There is a lot of suck it and see with this to be honest, Ed x

I was pretty sure I was going to die... ;-) as Ed wrote, take your time, go slow and you will see progress in some form every single run. You can do this! Gayle

Hi, I have just finished wk1 r3 and I am around 7 stone ocerweight! I think if you pay attention to your body it's ok - I expect to repeat later weeks but 1+2 look ok :-)

Well done for starting!

As Amy wrote, some move on and others repeat weeks or runs. Do what works best for you...no rush! My husband and I decided to always move on to the next run/week, regardless of how difficult, as long as we completed it. This worked well for us, but it may not others. You know your body, do what you feel is best. You will never regret taking the first step to start C25K! :-) Gayle
