At 6am in the dark with my hood up so no-one would know it was me, lol
I was quite enjoying it until Laura asked me to count my steps and think about my breathing... You want me to count?! And breathe?! And run?! All at the same time?!!!!
It was a nasty moment but once I realised I needed to ignore this advice and just concentrate on keeping going I was ok again.
I've enjoyed my rest day today but I feel like I've got a bit more energy than usual so something must be working. Thanks for all your encouragement and blog posts, they are really helping me, even if I don't always have time to reply.

Yippeeeee! You did it! I remember starting out and going through a check list in my mind, breathing, pace, arm position, where my step was landing, the list went on and on. Amazingly now, most often I run and midway through it, it occurs to me I haven't went through the list yet! I found once I settled into a pace, my breathing came more naturally. Well done and looking forward to your next run blog! Gayle
I can't get into counting breaths either, but thinking about posture does help me to feel more comfortable - but only one bit at a time, not the whole lot!
I just finished week 2 today and I totally agree with you, counting steps is just a complete put-off and I think you should just keep to breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. I also didn't like the whole: land on your heel first, I found this to be quite painful on the ankle so I've stuck with running on the balls of my feet. I'm battling through this with you and I hope you stick at it! -Paul
