...gang aft aglay. Well, like a lot of you xmas and new year posed certain challenges for me! I must admit to eating and drinking what I felt like. I did get out running though a few times.
My longer route was completely waterlogged and resembled the Somme on the couple of times I tried it. So my last couple of runs were just a short 20 minutes. But my ambition of doing longer runs and starting the b210k over the holidays did not quite come about. Maybe it is not the best time after all.
Now that work has recommenced I need to get back to trying to run 3 times a week again and increasing the distances when I have time at the weekend. Let's hope the rain stays off for a while.

Hi Mabbers - although I was ill (so had a good excuse for not running) I'm not convinced that the holiday season is the ideal chance to up distance and try something new that it would seem. A lot of people here look like they're starting B210K now (like a NY resolution) - I still have to get back to mid-December form consistently and then look at moving up, probably at least a month away though.
Totally agree about the waterlogged route - my normal one is completely impassable but in any case I'd just about exhausted the distance I could go in that direction. Now I'm looking at ways to get through the city centre towards the nice flat riverside (probably muddy) footpaths on the other side. Only problem is that (small) city centre and all its traffic crossings in the way.
Hope you get back into a good (dry) routine soon and Happy Hew Year
