For goodness sake, you can already do a parkrun, of course you can finish the programme! Though maybe it will be a bit easier after the Christmas haze has faded... Sherry for me (traditional at Christmas).

Hi guys thanks for the encouraging words, I really appreciate that. I have done Parkruns but I find them hard work. The only reason I can finish them is because I can run with others and forget how exhausted I am! It's everyones kind words that keep me going. Goo d luck to everyone! Ed x

You'll get there! Once Christmas is out of the way... oh. Then there's New Year. Well, once New Year is out of the way you'll be back on track! Hope you're having a great day,

Annie

(By the way, my tipple of preference on Christmas Day is La Veuve ;) )

Well done Ed at least you got out there, and now I was also thinking "will I ever finish this programme?" but you know what .... I know I will, it may not be 9 weeks it may take 12 months but I will :)

Life gets in the way I'm finding as does health, so already I;m on Week4 as well but it's taken me about 7-8 weeks having misssed a week, repeated weeeks etc. Currently I've missed a week through work shifts and a chest infection, then managed one walk but misssed another week due to this chesty thing :( Went out yesterday thinking I've missed two weeks and guess what, I struggled like hell, didn't manage any full runs, didn't manage the last one at all and puked up all over the place. BUt hey, I guess i wasn't ready ...but I will be soon and I'll get back into it ;) Once this bug is gone and Christmas is over I'll be back on track and so will you.

Ya doing great mate, enjoy your Christmas, don't beat yourself up and look forward to getting back out there.

All the best !!

Thanks Steve, i have decided in the last half hour to train for a half marathon in March. Therefore i have just about 2 months to step my training up considerably, wish me luck, i am gonna need it!

You can do a park run! That's amazing in itself. I completed c25k on Christmas Eve and my friend asked me to do a park run on Saturday. I politely declined. I'm worried I won't be able to do it. I haven't run 5k yet as I'm focusing on getting my speed up to be able to do it in 30mins. Doing more than 30mins on the treadmill is definitely a mental barrier for me.

You should be so proud of yourself :). Keep going and that graduate badge will be yours before you know it :).

Hi lazy thanks very much. You should try a Parkrun however, everyone is very friendly andvif you need to walk no problem. Good luck, Ed x
