I didn't blog week 6 because everything went smoothly but interestingly W7R1 was harder than W6R3 even though it was the same run and only very slightly quicker. The daft thing was that after only 3 mins I was thinking of stopping due to having to breathe so hard. I am always careful to start off slowly so it wasn't that, it just felt like I had gone straight back to week 1! I pushed through it but the whole thing was a real grunt. I have decided to give myself 2 days before the next one.
I dont use "Laura" because I like the peace of the early morning and matching my breathing with a rhythm. Currently I am on a pace of 6:48 / km any idea what I should be on by now?

I did week 7 run 1 yesterday and had the same issue. I was slow, felt sluggish and the whole thing seemed like a struggle. I did push through, ran at a slower pace but did push for the final sixty seconds as Laura suggested. I presume it will get easier as we go along. I am still pretty proud of myself for getting this far and I think you should be too!
I think you are right. I did W7R2 this morning and again the first 3 mins had me gasping like I did back in week 1. After settling into a rhythm it however it wasnt so bad and I managed a slightly faster pace overall. Don't worry I am pleased with myself so far, it just doesn't look like I am going to be able to do the 5k in 30mins in week 9. Let us know how you get on with w7r2.
