After completing a 10k run on Monday in 58 mins, had another go Fri and manged to do a time of 53.14. What is considered a good time for a 54 year old male.

I would say that's an excellent time for a 54-year old male! Well done - that's brilliant.

I ran 10k for the first time today (in a local race) and it took me 1 hour and 17 minutes - so I'd say you're doing brilliantly!

Not a bad time for your first go...I wasn't much quicker on mine!

Superb, Dave!! I don't know what everyone else would consider good, but I think that your time is outstanding. I haven't tried a 10K, but I am 43 years old and I am currently at 29 minutes for a 5K. You are doubling my distance and beating my pace!! I would say that you are doing great!!

Keep Running!! :-)
