Ran week 4 run 1 tonight!

A run I had been dreading, how could I run for 5 minutes!!! But I did it!! Did not know I could just run, I am thinking there is a big mental block that has to be lifted to believe you can do what this C25K program asks you to do! I think I have always just thought no I can't do that!!! An epiphany I think!!! Lol.

Hi RunTmr

I've just done my final run of week five and was worrying about it for a week or more. But you are spot on, it is more mental than physical - even if it nearly kills you!

You will surprise yourself so keep it up :-)

I completely agree that this is as much a mental process as a physical one. Stick with the plan and you will find that you can do the physical side as it increases gently, and with each success, the mental belief increases too.

Keep running, you can do this.

Totally agree it is definately as hard mentally as it is physically, but if you follow the programme you can do it. When I started I couldn't run to the end of the road and now run 5k (in just outside the magic 30 mins) and have joined a running club. Had anyone said I would be doing this in August I would have just laughed at them, I was a real couch potato and now can say I am a (slow) runner. Well done on completing wk4r1 and good luck with r2. Remember you can do it :-D
