Have to admit a growing nervousness at my first proper run. I know I can do the distance as done it twice in last 5 days and doing 2 more before the race, but still feeling a bit of nerves already. Hoping for a lovely cool sunny autumn morning, and to have fun. It's all for a terrific cause.

Good luck for Sunday! You know you can do it so just go out and enjoy yourself. Top tip - don't get carried away at the start ... Run at your own pace (easier said than done whe. It feels like everyone else is racing off).

I'm there, and the good thing about a race is that we won't be last, because there will be people walking around.

excellent, was hoping for walkers.

Just attempted my final run before the race and it was an utter disaster. Only got 200m and sudden pain in my hips forced me to a halt. Pain went as soon as I stopped and its the first time I have had this happen. Hoping it was just a bit of stiffness and that I had not stretched properly. Was also the first time I have tried to run without my usual compression type shorts.

So resting today and will do a short run tomorrow. FIngers crossed I can run all the way, no way am I quitting this one :-)
