Hello!

Well I have just got back from Run1, Week1 and don't feel too bad actually, struggled a bit half way through but once through that barrier I really enjoyed it! I wouldn't say I was that out of shape really but would really like to lose some weight but being sat in a reasonably stressful office doesn't do much for my mental well being! So I want to use it to get 'mind fit' as much as anything else. Feel rather proud of myself I don't mind saying but the real work will be in the next few weeks of course. I will update my blog just to keep a record of my progress as I continue, hopefully it will inspire others as the blogs that I have read inspired me.

Cheers All!

Pac.

Hi Pac and welcome to C25K. I think most of us struggle to begin with but remember if you are, you can repeat runs or weeks if need be. I have done. I am due to do W3R3 hopefully tonight although i only did R2 yesterday. Just take it easy, take your time and make sure you rest. That is as important as the running itself. Good luck and keep us informed! Ed

Welcome, Pac!! You have already taken what I consider to be the hardest steps of the program...the ones from the couch to the door!! :-)

Keep Running!! :-)

Welcome pac!!!! This program will help you so much relieve the stress from work. You will also notice weight loss, maybe not so much on the scale but in the body as you build stamina and it becomes more toned. Listen to the pod-cast, trust in the program and you will be a graduate in no time! :-) Gayle

Just got back and really enjoyed it again, shins feel a bit tight so perhaps I ought to do some type of streching for this, can anyone recommend anything?Although interestingly it only really felt uncomfortable during the walking and not the running. I feel that I am ready for a bit more running but will stick with the paln and not get ahead of myself. I may even do an extra session saturday morning.
