Needed to know how fast I was running.

So I eventually got round to listening to Stepping Stone podcast that I downloaded over a month ago and went out this morning just as the sun was rising.

I completed the course in April and have been running 3 times a week around the fields behind the house but have never known whether I was a runner or a jogger. As a short dumpy 63 year old I was expecting the latter, so imagine my surprise when I found the beat slower than what I usually run at and by the time I had finished the complete run I was a whole field length short of my usual distance.

So I am a runner and will now download some music with a beat of over 160bpm. And push on to the next podcasts.

I never thought running could be so addictive. But it is.

From one old lady to another I graduated today and have downloaded the next podcasts. Be interesting to see if I have the same experience. It is addictive. Can't wait to do more

Congrats on graduating. I am sure you are still elated today. I know I was.

And when you complete your first solo run without Laura you will be amazed how good you feel.

Well done oldlady63. i'm the same age as you, and yes, what a pleasant surprise that Stepping Stones was much slower that I had been running. Really enjoyed the increase in pace, and the instruction. Still on Speed-move onto stamina on Wednesday, the free run on Friday. I had this shocking cough and cold that's doing the rounds-so timeout for 9 days when I had only just done one stepping stone run. Restarted last Wednesday, and decided to stick to the speed, then move on Wednesday and get into the rhythm this week.

I agree-very addictive running.

gaterunner congratulations on Graduating-wooo,woo!! :-)

I have listened to the other 2 podcasts today whilst cleaning the house. Will try 35 minute run tomorrow and then the interval training next weekend.

That sounds like a plan! Good luck with your 35 minute run tomorrow, and the pods for next week. looking forward to seeing how you did :-)

Thanks for all your kind comments. It is good to know that people take the time to read the blogs. I know I do even if I don't comment much.
