Didn't know I could run so fast :)

Today I decided to do the Speed C25k+ podcast I did it on a treadmill so I could see what speed I was doing ........ It was nice to hear Laura's voice I felt quite at home and reassured that I could handle whatever she had in store for me. After the usual warm up walk you do five minutes at a steady pace then 1 min intervals of running at a faster speed then slowing down again, Laura counts out the step count which makes it easy to follow, I kept increasing the speed and was amazed at just how fast I was able to run, but what really made me smile was just how fast those 1 minutes went by I kept thinking that just 3 months ago I was struggling to jog really slowly for 1 minute.......

Well done! I've tried the speed podcast once but didn't get into it as I found it quite hard to get the right speed to go with Laura's 1234! I do my own speed interval training once a week which suits me fine. I love it as the time goes so quickly. But you're right - it's amazing how far we've come, isn't it?

I know what you mean about the timing with Laura funnily enough I found I was out of step more on the slow runs than the fast

Well done, I haven't done Speed for a long time (due to injury) but it really does give results - I just wish I enjoyed it!

Have you used any other podcasts?

I had good results using 1x speed & 1x Stamina with 1 easy pace longer distance per week, my times shortened. I did try bridge to 10k but didn't get along with it.

That's interesting, I had thought about doing the same I have downloaded a bridge to 10k but haven't tried it yet

I got to 10k just by adding 10% a week to my one easy paced distance run. Some people do find b210k works for them, but for me the stopping and starting was no good, I prefer not to break the rhythm once I've got it.
