I should be doing w8 r3 tonight but unfortunately I am full of cold. I have decided not to rune until I have shiftrd my cough/cold. I am hoping this does not put me back too much as I wanted to graduate next week. I did consider still going out for a run but thought I might feel gutted if I didn't manage to finish it
Gutted, can't have a break now.: I should be... - Couch to 5K
Gutted, can't have a break now.
Sorry you're under the weather. I hope you feel better soon. In reading here, seems like most everyone benefits from taking the extra rest days. I know you are excited and so ready to move on, but your health is the most important thing. Try to get some rest and drink plenty of fluids. Well wishes! Gayle
Hi lyndseyj! Great advice from Gayle! There's no rush to finish - if you've got this far then I would imagine you're already seeing yourself as a runner for life! So waiting a few days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Take care of yourself!
Hi lyndseyj-join the club! Seems as though the virtual virus is virtually spreading throughout the blog site. At least I managed to Graduate last Friday week before the ravages of the cold/cough really set in. Don't run! I know it is a disappointment, but you will not recover so fast than if you rest and cosset yourself. A lot to be said for just being a couch potato right now and let the healing process progress.
I am not running until next week-Monday at the earliest, then, if I have recovered I will go out and restart stepping stones. I felt lousy by the time I had finished on Monday-so was it worth it? No-I should have listened to my body, and it set me back. Gayle and Oona's comments are so right!
As someone said to me yesterday-Hot Toddy and bubble bath.
Virtual hugs to you }}}}. get better soon
Thank you for your comments, I am taking all of your advice and not running until my cough at least has gone.
