So excited to get out this morning for another run, up early, running shoes on and off I go. No sooner had I started the first run and my legs started to hurt, I ran through it, second run still hurts....so I did what I had to do and stopped carried on walking for the rest of it, am so upset. Already been on phone to doctors, just have to wait for them to call me back as still no face to face appointments. Legs are very sore now. But I'm not going to give up...I will run again!!
gutted!!: So excited to get out this morning for... - Couch to 5K
gutted!!
Aww.. so sorry to hear that.. so disappointing.. but glad you’re not going to give up.. see what the GP says.. maybe you need to do some long brisk walks to strengthen whichever bit of your leg is causing the problem, before you start again? Don’t be downhearted.. hope you will be able to enjoy some time in the fresh air anyway.. in the garden maybe? That’s what my plan is for today.. 😊
Take care..🤗
Thanks peggy, yes going to be in garden for a bit today, its very over cast today though and rain forecast for most of this week, so not sure how much time i will get out there.
I have been doing brisk walks with the dog and had no problems for about 3 weeks now so though i could start again, wasnt even bothered about going back 9 weeks if it meant i could run again, i just love that feeling afterwards, there is nothing like it. 🏃🏼♀️😭
Sorry to hear that... I am not great in giving advice but hopefully your GP will know what to do...
🤗
I'm not sure what stage on the programme you're at, but a few aches and pains early on are very common. Hopefully this isn't a full blown injury! GPs are generalists so a physio might be best. You can get online consultations but of course they cost money. I paid £35 for a 40 min session and it was really worthwhile. Good luck.
Thanks he has refered me so hopefully get some help soon. i was on week 9 when it first happened and its definitely not aches and pain in that sense, i think i tore muscles as was about 2 month since it first happened, it was my fault i did too much i went beyond what the app told me to do plus was doing hiit training 4 to 5 times a week and running 4 times and was loving every minute till i got my injuries and could bearly even walk for a weeek and half
Oh dear Shar 😔. I'm so sad to read this. I hope you don't have to wait too long to see the physio. Keep up some strength exercises and try some yoga too so that you keep impact to a minimum. Please keep us posted to know how you get on. 🤗
Oh no! Hopefully it’s something minor and you’ll be back at it soon 🙂
