Week 8 Run 3 - done!

Finally finished week 8 having got over my cold at last. It was hard work today - despite going out in the morning and not working this week. A little voice was telling me to give up all the time and I thought I was going really slowly. However, I wasn't and finished in the same spot as the two previous runs. Have been looking at posts for week 8 and lots of people talking about PBs and already reaching 5k. - I haven't got a clue about distance but probably at least 2 miles - so not 5 k just yet! Need to work out distance as haven't grasped that yet. Also each run is just a get through to the end - let alone do a PB. I think I'll save myself for after graduation. I'm determined to finish but that is the first goal.

  • Whoo-hoo! Grad week here you come! I am no where near a 5K in 30 minutes. Most of those graduating have a ways to go to reach that time/distance. Looking forward to your grad blog! Gayle

  • Well done you are doing brilliantly. Many of us weren't near 5k when we graduated, so don't worry about that, running 30 mins will be an amazing achievement.

  • Well done! I too have completed w8r3 yesterday and looking forward to tomorrow's 1st run of graduation week. Laura seems to be encouraging us to keep running and achieve the time rather than the distance. I downloaded GPSpeedometer free app onto my blackberry which is designed for cyclists but I adapted the speed settings to track me when running. It tells me I am achieving 4.7km in 28mins and I'm most definitely not a fast runner - you may be pleasantly surprised at har far you're actually achieving to run.

  • thanks for this Nicki. Will give it a go. Don't think I will get to run again until the weekend. Good luck tomorrow.
