Have been working steadily and keeping myself going reading other peoples' blogs, for which many thanks everyone. Then today was W7 run 3, should have been easy as I managed wk 6 and w7 runs 1 and 2 which were identical. But today it was just too hard and - so much for endurance and stamina building - i gave up halfway. No good reason - had my day off since the last one, reasonable amount of sleep. Only difference was that at the point i gave up it was slightly uphill and wind in my face. can wind really make that much difference?
so now should i do that run again, or shall i add the three minutes and try w8 run 1 on Sunday or Monday?

Wind is HORRIBLE! I find it makes a massive difference - it takes every bit of energy I have, I absolutely DETEST running in wind! So it could be that, or just a difficult run which you'll never know the true reason of. Chalk it up to experience, have your rest day and continue on I say put W8R1 podcast on but with the view to running W7R3. Once you hit 25 minutes, see how you feel to see if you can run the extra 3 mins. If not, don't worry, you'll do it next time. Good luck!
Wind and an incline are a combination of the devil. It's amazing how much extra energy they require. I go with NewbieRunner. Try W8R1 but be prepared to treat it as W7R3 if you need to.
many thanks for the encouragement both. i can do that run the other way round so should be less windy on that uphill stretch, so fingers crossed for next time
