W5r2, might have to do it again...

After a crazy morning getting 3 tired kids to school I was longing to drop them off and head straight for the wood and my run. The first 8 went fine and then the other 8 became 7.20.

I have been running on this abandoned railway track, soft and flat but its starting to be a bit short. So I decided to head through a gate and run down a narrow country lane and all of a sudden I realise Im running up a hill! My breathing starts to be more than huffing and puffing. Reach the top and heads back in to the park only to take the wrong path and up it goes again...... Laura says: "60 sec left".... And breathing is hard but I push on another 20 seconds and then I stop.... Perhaps I should have turned around but I wanted to find a new place to run. I did that after I did my walk down. If I had gone left I would have done it properly. But I don't see this as a failure. I know I can run 8 min now BUT instead of doing run3 on Friday I will repeat this one, just to show my mind that I can do it, coz that stop is otherwise going to stay there and haunted me.

Nah, you did amazingly well. Just push on. I sympathise, I really do - my run now includes a bit of a hill and it's murder. But so good when you get to the otherside and can run downhill.

The first uphill was ok (is uphill ever ok? lol) but the second one was even more graded and more of a trekking path. The views when I stopped was amazing tho ;-) I'll see how I feel on Friday if I do r2 or r3.... At least now I know where to run :-)
