Almost completed 25 mins...I say almost because I had to stop a few times to take a sip of water and I haven't worked out how you do this simultaneously with running...I tend to either choke or spit it all down myself...on my 3rd sip break I did just both as approaching 2 members of the public, both looked at me with concern...I then had to say I was ok whilst puce red, choking on a sip of water that was also coming out of my nose like it does when you are a kid at the baths after being dunked and breathing heavily! Embarrassed as they disappeared into the distance I tried to regain a tiny bit of dignity but ended up calling myself a N/head and laughing out loud at the same time just as another member of the public came around the corner. Mmm yes completed week 6 run 3 with class! ππ€£ππ€£
From smashing it to runner! πππ: Almost... - Couch to 5K

Did you complete if you had breaks? π€
Why do you need to stop and drink?
Make sure you are hydrated before you run and get a drink when you get home. No Problemo!
To be honest....today is the first time I've ever taken a drink with me even through those very hot days a few weeks ago,however..today when I got up I had a bit of a groggy throat and dry mouth a lot due to medications I take and other health issues I have! I could of not gone out running I suppose but I thought I would try and achieve my last "run" of the week and push on through feeling rubbish and take some water with me!
Absolutely right to go out! Just feel water may have been a distraction
I have NEVER been able to drink while I run! I either end up chocking and turning bluer than I normally do (LOL) or looking like I have peed in my pants Vertically and with great fervour (not so LOL).
Well done.
You need a squeezy sports drink bottle to drink while running, but frankly, unless your medication is really making you dry, you are better off not drinking during the session. In general, if you are well hydrated, there is no need for extra water unless you are running over 10k.
Carrying a bottle means that your hands are not in the optimum relaxed mode and you will also be creating asymmetry in your body, so better to drink before and after your run.
Do also remember that this is not a tick box exercise, it is you developing your body to enable you to run for thirty minutes. Only you know whether the walk breaks were significant, but the only person you cheat by telling yourself you completed the session when you didn't, is yourself. There is no shame in repeating runs to fully prepare yourself for the next one.
Keep going, you are doing great.
