As being tapped on the shoulder at 20 minutes into a 28minute run, when plugged into mp3 player, does cause a bit of havoc - and swearing! (on my part!!) he then decided that I ought to be going up an incline, and running faster. Given the cicumstances, I think I was very well behaved!....only used a few choice words and a swift elbow shove and managed to keep on my feet as well - (though goodness knows how!) needless to say son disappeared until I had finished. - fact is he should have known better at 20 years old.

I'm enough of a catastrophe on mine without interference, generally pulling the emergency stop key out or sending the mp3 player flying, often both at once :). Before I started the c2 5k and I was just using it for walking I've put the iPad on the controls and accidentally slowed it down and speeded it up, don't take the iPad anywhere near it now though. Reckon I'd be even more dangerous if I ran outside though as I have a tendency to close my eyes
Yep, I got this. I got the treadmill at about week 5 or 6 and because I decided to redo week 1 on it in front of everyone son reckons he can run for longer than me because he can do 5 minutes and I can only do one minute then need to walk before I run again!!!
LOL! Having seen one too many videos on YouTube of treadmill falls, I'm leery of stepping foot on one...but our weather has turned decidedly cold, and snow and ice are sure to follow (for the next 4-5 months), so I'm nervously eyeing them at the fitness center. All I can say is, hope someone has a camera handy, cause if someone taps ME on the shoulder 20 minutes into a run, it'll be YouTube fodder for sure!
