Run 2 wk 6 in the bag

Feeling great and slightly terrified that its all running and no walking now. Think I am becoming addicted but I have listened to the more experienced runners and now take my rest days and feel better for doing so. Roll on Thursday and my first 25 minutes. Managed to do 4.25 km on the 2x10 minutes run and 3 minute walk today so dead chuffed.

Well done and good luck on W3, I find it's easier without stopping, I know that sounds perverse but it's just what I find.

Good luck for your 25 minute run, chusan51!! You will do brilliantly!! I agree completely with Chewy. I too, find the continuous runs easier. With the walking intervals I found that every time that I would get into my running groove, it was time to walk. The walk would end and then I would go searching for my groove again. With the continuous runs, you will hit your stride and cruise along!! You can do this!!

I agree with the two men, the longer runs go by so much quicker. So happy you listened and you are taking the recovery days, you will need and appreciate them with the longer runs. Great going!!

Isn't it funny how we all share almost the same experience. I found on the longer runs I've done so far that I set myself mental distance markers and so the time almost becomes irrelevant. I just keep running and reset my mental markers as I go along. My park is 1km round and I hope to get to 1km every 5 minutes soon and so this fits nearly with the program. Thanks for the encouragement guys. It keeps me going.

Well done chusan51! I will be doing my W6R2 tonight hopefully though legs are a bit achy so if not then definately on Thursday. Cant wait for the longer runs, though like you it does feel a bit terrifying.....

Good luck for tomorrow!
