I loved doing Speed, I managed all 6 fast intervals and according to Endomondo I was faster than a speeding milk float, peaking at a terrifying 7mph. When Laura told me to pump my arms I imagined I was the evil cop Terminator from T2 and that helped get the rhythm.
I was naughty and carried on running after the podcast officially ended as I was 1.5 miles from home and as with Stamina it seemed like running home was the natural thing to do. I ran out of dog-friendly route before I ran out of puff.
I am really chuffed that that I did my first 2 miles in dead on 20 minutes and 3 miles in 30:43 and 5K in 31:51 (all PBs) and my overall pace was 10:19 miles/min.

Great job, Fr Dougal! All those PBs! I really enjoyed Speed when I did it (first time) On Saturday. Don't know why I was so worried about it. I love the image of the bad cop from T2, I can visualise him zooming along with those arms going, unstoppable.
How did you get on with Stamina? That's my next run.
Fab blog, how n earth did you RUN on a ploughed field? The whole run sounds epic, with all those "adventures", your distance, times and final extra run.
Hope your trainers have recovered.
Your dog will be wise to your tricks now, sneaking around in your dressing gown indeed! Besides, she must have had such fun, she will NOT settle to beng left at home ever again.
I love having her with me, the only downside is that I can't have her off the lead if I run down a road so I have to stop and start or stick to off road routes and I'm running out of distance.
