W9R3 done!!!! but I must read instructions properly.

I was so close to not going for a run today.

There was ice,

It was very windy.

I have been coughing for almost 2 weeks.

There was knitting to be done in front of the telly.

But I bit the bullet and got into my running gear, crossed the road and got onto the cycle track. The warm up walk was fine until I came to a flood across the path. There was no way around it so it had to be ploughed through and the water was icy!!! Running shoes are NOT waterproof!! (well mine aren't)

The path has a slight incline and the wind was in my face but there was some determination there. I thought of the other C25Kers out there doing their very best and knew it'd be downhill on the way home and I'd have a tail wind so on I plodded.

I think that was the slowest I have ever ever moved. But I ran for 31 mins!

Only problem was I have no idea of the distance I covered as I didn't set my new garmin properly! Mapmyrun doesn't help when its a track with no distinguishing features, it used to be a railway line and my section has high banking so I never see anything.

Never mind. I RAN FOR 31 MINUTES!!!!!

Happy new year to all and good luck with your running!

Thank you Steve. You're both right, distance doesn't matter. Happy 2013.
