OK, I like Laura. A lot. She has got me this far. Thanks for that. Couldnt have done it without ya... etc etc BUT I do take exception when for the last run of W6R1 she tells me I should find this simple and then promptly plays a song telling me "its not so easy now"!!! Great, really motivational, not! Oh well, I'll just have to believe that Laura doesnt have a say in the choice of music as I feel a bit bad after all she has done for me.......
Anyhow, have the day off work so was able to run this morning rather than after work and got through it without incident but quite tough as was running into a headwind for most of it. Thought it would be easier though, especially after the 20 min run of W5, so it is quite a leveller for reminding me not to get too ahead of myself. Ready for R2 now!

The songs choices leave something to be desired but maybe you're right and Laura has nothing to do with them. There's a great one later in week 6 (or maybe it's even at the start, I can't remember) where he goes on about being 3 stone lighter or at least that's what it sounds like to me.
Thanks Chewy. Well if it is about being 3 stone lighter that more than makes up for it in the motivation stakes!!
I must admit I usually zone-out of the lyrics and even the tunes as they just become background noise to me so its funny that I zoned-in to this particular one.....
I think we all need a bit of humor at times to get through the program. I know for me there have been times I can either laugh or cry about something on a run. Week 6 can be a rough one! Wishing you a great next run!
Well done, SBG356!! Week 6 can be a very challenging one!! We (gdeann and I) came out of Week 5 thinking that we had figured this running thing out, only to go back to interval training and realizing that we weren't quite as accomplished as we thought! Running into the wind can be a very humbling experience, also!! Keep Running, you are doing a great job!!
