Anyone find week 4 hard?

There are lots of posts here saying how difficult weeks 5 and 6 are, but week 4 for me is proving to be a big challenge. I was starting to enjoy the programme in week 3, feeling like it was beginning to pay off, and then week 4 happened! Its quite demoralising actually. Anyone else experience this?

I have found week 4 to be a bit more of a challenge and have decided to repeat it before moving on to week 5. I think building up a little more stamina will help me before moving on. I have enjoyed it all the way through, but have definitely had to push myself.

Hi, I am now on week 5 and I found w4 much harder! Not sure why???? I was dreading week 5 after gasping through 4, I even considered repeating 4 but I am glad I didn't. Hang in there, I often find the runs I find difficult are the ones where I am making the most progress.

W4 was the pits. I struggled but nevertheless went on to W5, where surprisingly R1 was actually quite achievable. R2 tonight ...

W4 was dire. I think it's all the jog-walk-jogging you do. I've just completed W9 and I can tell you, W4 was definitely the toughest for me. W5R1 was so nice in comparison, and the music's better too! :-)

Yes, I've one more run of it and it feels hard going for the first two runs then I'm OK for the final two. Strange, maybe it's the intervals, as I just want to keep on and have to stop just as I'm at a steady pace. Good luck, hope it gets better ;)

I hit a bit of a wall in week 4. It was just hard work - as my current week 6 is proving to be - and I didn't get it sorted until the final run of the week when I finally sorted my pace out. All my issues were running the 5 minute interval way too fast for my current level. Once i evened my pace out, r3 was really easy and I enjoyed it. Don't worry, W4 is preparation for W5 and it's helping you out no matter how you feel at the time. :)

Thanks for all the comments everyone, its reassuring to hear that others have been in the same boat as me. I'm off to try again tonight, and I'm feeling determined to not let it get the better of me! I think I may throw in an extra week 4 run before getting to the dizzy heights of week 5... fingers crossed I survive!!

Just about to start week 9 & week 4 was the hardest so far. I don't really know why. Once I got through it the rest of the weeks have so far been ok.
