I have done almost nothing today and it's pouring with rain.
I was going to walk tofay and do yoga tonight, but it's looking like another trip to the gym to get caught up on todays distance.

Well I've done a big fat zero! Feeling yuk with these meds so not got energy to expend am afraid. Can't face food so think the gym would finish me off....
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
5x40? Are you trying to cut short this challenge, George?
Like yesterday, I had a late start today and *almost* did very little despite it being lovely and sunny here. About 2pm I found a belt for my jeans (I'm losing inches from my middle ) put on my walking shoes and grabbed my fleece top. I was all set to walk to the village to hand deliver a letter to a neighbour whom I had promised I give some maps, then maybe take a wee wander around past the village school and two churches to make the 5km.
Then I looked out at the sunshine and thought of all the days when I know it will be bucketing with rain before this challenge is over and *knew* I had to make more of an effort. So I changed into my cycling gear and got my bike out the shed.
My poor mountain bike had been complaining about the road cycling earlier in the week, saying it was a roughie, toughie, off-road bike who wanted to go off road! So off-road we went. Not only was it was off-road, but off forest-track at one point, when I had to carry/push/pull my bike over tussocky grass and heather for a 700m section betwen one path and the main track. I'd walked that way before and knew it would be tough, but wanted to make this circuit.
After all the delay getting out there, I really enjoyed it and took my time and took lots of photos.
17.7 km cycling of which 9.5 km was off road.
Thanks Swanscot, getting jittery with no exercise!
Well done on your bike ride. Jealous!!!
Impressive Swanscot, I don't fancy lugging the bike over moorland.
Don't feel bad about it Angel108 you will soon adapt and get back to it.
I just noticed the 40 day slip, wishful thinking.
I walked 3, ran 3 and cycled 10 today, my ankle will not tolerate the running.
Still my total I think is now 120 and my dream total for the challenge was 500. So all I have to now is 10 a day to keep on target which should be pretty easy walking and cycling.
It is still pouring with rain here, it has been since I got up this morning.
