Just getting over Keepfit on Wednesday and today my knees are the worst they've ever been. Prob not bad as knees go but I'm going to make a real effort to re-read and do the exercises that CaroleC told me about. Better to do it now than let it get any worse. I'm trying to change the way I run because I probably put the whole of my foot down at the same time which may not help. Not only can I not breathe, now I can't run either!!!!

Ooowww, my knees!
Oh sorry to hear, yeah the research I've done says to land on mid foot, but also it said not to try and change it overnight. I appear to be a heel striker, so am now focusing on trying to land differently. Good luck
Stayinbed, are you running in proper running shoes that have been fitted for you? Gait analysis and properly fitted shoes go a long, long way towards making sure knees (and other parts of your legs) don't become troublesome.

No, my trainers were about £20 4 years ago, but they support my feet. I'm a neutral runner. I just can't afford the price of running shop trainers, and these were fine until W6 when the runs started getting longer. I've started doing the exercises but think I might have pulled a muscle at the back of my knee. It feels a bit crampy and it aches...oh what joy. Whatever next?
My Knees have been a bit dodgy for a few years, since about week 4 I've been wearing tubigrip on both knees when running. It seems to work, my knees don't ache when I'm running.
