Started Week 8 - The start of better things.

After struggling so much with week 7 I decided a change of scene might be just the thing so body and I got up early and headed for the car. A short trip later we arrived and started our run.

We had the path through the wood all to ourselves. There were a few more inclines than I was expecting. This run was the 1st time I found the podcast annoying. When Laura told me I'd done 5mins it really threw my pace and I was only just settling at that point. So we had to settle in started all over again. At 14mins I realised I wasn't going to make it round without a comfort break so we had to stop for a couple of minutes. Again the pace was ruined, grrr.. Still ok I thought we can do it. Let's go for a 60sec sprint. Great I thought I can do this only to get round the corner and hit a really steep incline. Darn and Blast back to walk.

So we didn't complete the podcast. I think I could have without the 5min warning, the loo break and the darn incline. Having said all that I really enjoyed the run. Watching the sun come up over the lake, and seeing the squirrels running up the trees was wonderful. Personally I'm putting this one down as a good run, in fact it was an excellent run and I've been on a high all day.

Well done Anna. :) Runs like these are actually great for stamina building, and the fact you enjoyed it is even better.
