B210k

Just started the first run of B210k with Samantha. Enjoying the music & found the 4x10 min runs with a minute in between quite easy. Is anyone else doing it? Am I right in thinking it's over 5 weeks?

Where did you get the podcasts from? I like the sound of 4 x 10 mins. I could do that!

couchto5k.healthunlocked.co... :-D

I downloaded them from andystev (he's in the admin section) a lot easier than I thought. Good luck. Samantha isn't as chatty as Laura but the music is a lot more trendier.

Well there are 7 podcasts labelled Weeks 1 - 4, then 5(1), 5(2), 5(3). I've just listened to the start of each podcast and in week 4, strangely, she says "Congratulations, you're halfway through" Maybe she changed the format after recording the early podcasts...?

4 out of 7 podcasts is half way through?

You are doing the first 4 podcasts 3 x each week. So the 4th podcast is Week 4, out of a 5 week programme.

Are you doing the programme swanscot?

I'm starting this week. 'Technically' I'm still to do Week 9 of C25K, but have already run 30 mins five times - due to simply adding a few minutes to the end of each run since about week 6, and reaching 30 by W7R3. (I had a base fitness before starting this plan).

I'm not following B210K exactly. I've drawn up a 8 week 10K training plan based on several plans I read. My plan includes three types of runs:

- One run based on time run at 5K pace (I did a Parkrun on Sat and am just over 6 mins/km) starting at 30 mins and increasing gradually up to 60 or 70 mins

- one intervals session using the podcasts

- one long, slow distance run (LSD) increasing by 10% distance each week. I planned my LSD runs based on 5.5K, but may change that to start at 6K as the run I joined on Sunday for the 5x50 Challenge took us 5.94K. I wasn't expecting that!

I'll slot in the first B210K intervals one day this week and start my LSD this week.

I love the B210K programme but does anyone else have a hard time hearing Sam's voice?

I've only listened to it on my computer when reviewing it to add to my 10K plan, and some of the times, I could barely hear her. I think I'll be hard pressed to hear her when out running.
