Went out for my final run yesterday afternoon, it was still hot and there was a fairly strong headwind down one side of the lake i've been running round so i'd all but concluded my final run would be a struggle but it was brilliant!!!
The heat and wind made it harder going than i would have liked but even so the 30 minutes seemed to fly by. I felt a bit like i'd have cheated myself if i didn't run a full 5k so i carried on past 30 minutes and completed the full 5k in 35 mins 27s. Not exactly world beating but who cares it felt brilliant and i know i could have gone quicker if the conditions had been better!!!
I am now totally hooked and cant wait to get out again! For anyone just starting/thinking about starting or well on the way to graduating well done, keep up the good work and enjoy it! Theres no point pushing so hard that running becomes a chore because thats when you get disheartened and risk giving up. C25K really works, im walking proof i struggled through 60 seconds just a few short weeks a go. You can & will do this so take it at your own pace it's not a race, enjoy it and be proud of yourselves, your all an inspiration.
Thankyou so much to everyone on here for their wonderful blogs, support and motivation and i'll be looking forward to my first post graduation run (o:

I love hearing people who have qualified offering encouragement, especially the admission that they found the 60 seconds hard work only a few weeks ago. It gives me, a week 3 newbie, hope and inspiration - Thank you.
Oh and well done on graduating, sorry, got carried away being inspired.
Well done and thank you for an awesome posting! I am starting week 6 and tell myself often this is not a race, take it slow. Looking forward to seeing your badge next to your name!!!!
Congratulations Sinope! Well done on a double graduation - 30 mins and 5 K! That's definitely worth a cheer! You are well on your way to 5k in 30 mins too - I can only dream about times that fast! Great stuff.
