Well. That's it ! I'm just back from W9R3, really chuffed and quite pleased with myself !
I'm still only running 3k in 30 minutes (hilly paths), but I can't believe what I've achieved. I'm now able to run up hills I'd have struggled to walk nine weeks ago. I'm running for thirty unbelievable minutes straight, when I'd thought I'd die on W1R1. I'm actually considering doing Bridge to 10K (completely crazy, especially considering I haven't reached 5k yet !). I've gotten much fitter and more toned up, and lost quite a few centimeters around my thighs and waist. And the most unbelievable thing of all : I like running.
I'm not having champagne at breakfast but it almost feels like I should !

Sounds like graduation to me. 30 minutes is what it's about. And I haven't quite managed 5K in that time yet, running on a pretty flat course. Well done. The distance will come. Try heading out to somewhere flat for a run. You might surprise yourself.
Thank you ! As it happens we're headed to Belgium tomorrow for one week, and I'm bringing my running gear to try both vacation running and running on flat ground !
Wow, thanks for the wonderful and informative link ! The next step for me is definitely consolidation runs - I'm hoping to do my first three on vacation in Belgium, just to see what flat ground feels like !
